Are you looking for a competent yet compact single-serve espresso machine? The Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima Pro vs Touch offers some incredible features that other coffee makers simply don’t. Which is the winner product of this debate? My answer is Nespresso Lattissima Pro.
Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima Pro wins since it is built with an automatic system that does every step of brewing for you, which makes it a great choice for beginners. You can count on its empty water tank detection, quick heat-up, and bigger water tank than Touch.
Touch shares the same features as the one above, only that they are more simplified. It is an affordable machine that can brew 6 types of drinks automatically and it boasts of the same auto shut-off function as Lattissima Pro.

Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima Pro vs Touch: Differences
Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima Pro wins 3-2 against Touch. This model has better pre-programmed settings for drinks brewing and the hot water dispenser is a nice touch. If you want a bigger water tank, you have to go with Lattissima Pro.
1. Pre-Programmed Settings
The Nespresso Lattissima Pro offers an Automatic Cappuccino System. This means it eliminates the little effort you will need to put in to drink a creamy cappuccino every time. Select the cappuccino button and the machine does the rest including frothing the milk. On the plus side, it also features 7 one-touch options with a touchscreen display.
The Lattissima Touch may not feature the exact same Automatic Cappuccino System. But it does offer different coffee customization settings. 6 one-touch coffee recipes to be exact. And the automatic frother to go with it. The 6 one-touch drinks include latte, latte macchiato, cappuccino, warm milk, espresso, and coffee.

2. Water Tank
The Lattissima Pro and Touch have a completely unique water reservoir. The Lattissima Pro features a larger water tank capacity of almost 44 ounces. While the Lattissima Touch has a 30.5-ounce water capacity.
It also differs in the way you can clean the water tank quickly. In that, the Pro offers a simple but very effective detection/indicator for an empty water tank. This is absent in the Lattissima Touch.
In both machines, the water tank sits at the back of the main brewing chamber. While this can be tricky for a lot of people, the Lattissima Pro’s compact design makes it easier to remove and refill.
In the Lattissima Touch, because of the same water tank size, regular cleaning is necessary.
3. Hot Water Dispenser
Extra credits go to the Delonghi Espresso Lattissima Pro for its hot water dispenser function. This is the best thing an espresso maker can offer. It saves time on your part to heat up water for Americanos. And you can use hot water to clean the drip tray, milk container, and water tank to keep it odor-free and stain-free.

Pro features a separate hot water spout. While the Touch delivers hot water on demand out of the coffee brewing spout.
This is good because the hot water passes slowly through the spout cleaning any residue coffee that may have gotten stuck somewhere during extraction.
4. Design
The Lattissima Pro has a brushed aluminum exterior that’s stronger and looks sleek and modern. It’s easier to clean as well because the aluminum exterior doesn’t attract stains or odor very quickly. A quick wipe-down every once in a while is enough to keep its parts safe and sturdy.
The Touch, however, features a plastic exterior. So don’t be surprised if some of the parts feel a bit wobbly.
The sliding drip tray on both machines has a good cup clearance. Although with the Lattissima Touch, you have to remove the tray to slide a tall glass under the coffee spout. The Pro is larger so it may accommodate a taller mug without any problem.
5. Pod Chamber
The Lattissima Pro takes the prize on this as well with its large used capsule capacity. It can hold up to 14 used capsules. If you use a variety of capsule sizes, it can fit up to 15 capsules easily. This puts you at ease because even if you drink 2 cups of coffee daily, you don’t have to empty out the capsules for an entire week.

The Lattissima Touch can store 9 used capsules. And once the chamber is full, it won’t brew coffee until you empty it out completely. This automatic detection feature is also present in the Lattissima Pro. It’s a great way to keep the machine clean at a moment’s notice.

Conclusion
Overall, I think the Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima is the winner. It outperforms the Touch in terms of its build quality and performance. Touchscreen display, automatic cappuccino system, separate hot water dispenser, and brushed aluminum body.
Having said that, I don’t think that buying the Nespresso Touch is bad either. It’s a high-quality, quiet, and speedy espresso machine. It may not be as good as the Delonghi Nespresso Pro in terms of build quality. But it does perform better than most within the same price range.
I hope that, with these differences, you are able to get what you pay for. You won’t find a clearer evaluation and side-by-side comparison of the Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima Pro vs Touch!
