After testing both machines, I found that the Breville Oracle Touch is the better option for coffee lovers. This machine seamlessly fuses together automatic and semi-automatic features that give you a lot of control without sacrificing convenience. The Oracle Touch allows users to tweak a lot of parameters, which is the main reason I chose this as the winner.
With that said, the Miele 6350 still offers some benefits that make it a great option. For starters, it’s a very convenient coffee machine that can produce restaurant and cafe-quality coffee in just a couple of minutes.
While I found the Breville Oracle Touch to be the better option for me, there are some people that might find the Miele 6350 better because of its convenience. While the Breville Oracle Touch brings control and convenience, the Miele 6350 is a high-tech coffee maker that can connect to your phone, and offers a wide variety of different coffee drinks that any coffee lover would enjoy.

Breville Oracle Touch vs Miele 6350: Differences
The Breville Oracle Touch and the Mielle CM6350 are very different machines, which is why they are such a hot topic for comparison in the coffee world. After doing the research and trying out both machines, I found the Breville Oracle Touch to be the superior option. This model is capable of providing you with cafe-quality coffee at the press of a button without sacrificing control of the flavor.
When comparing the differences between the two machines, the Breville Oracle Touch beat out the Miele CM6350 by 3-1. It was a pretty close match up between the two as both models offer great functionality in the kitchen. And while they both could make one-touch coffee, the Breville Oracle Touch is equipped with superior features that allow you to brew a better cup of joe.
1. Customizability
The Winner: Breville Oracle Touch

The Breville Oracle Touch is considered an automatic coffee machine by most experts. For the most part, that is true. Since it does all the grinding, tamping, pulling the shot, and steaming the milk for you, it’s a very convenient machine to have in your kitchen. With that said, the Miele 6350 also offers the amazing convenience of a superautomatic coffee machine.
The main difference between the two is that you can customize the drinks to your tastes when you use the Oracle Touch. Aside from the presets, which we’ll get to later, the Oracle Touch allows you to create and name up to 8 different profiles that are perfectly tailored to your tastes and needs. So, if you want the option of brewing your signature espresso, latte, or cappuccino at the press of the button, the Oracle Touch is the one for you.
The Miele CM6350, on the other hand, doesn’t give you as much control over the flavor. When using the CM6350, you can tweak the settings of the coffee presets to make it stronger, such as tweaking the grind settings, brew time, and the pre-infusion. However, while these settings offer you a couple of different ways to tweak your drink, you still don’t get as much control as the Oracle Touch, which is why the Breville option is the clear winner in this category.
2. Coffee Presets
The Winner: Miele 6350

One of the ways the Miele CM6350 beats out the Oracle Touch is with the coffee presets. Once you set up the Miele 6350, which is very easy to do, you can choose between seven different drinks. These include coffee-only drinks like ristretto and espresso, as well as milk drinks such as a latte, cappuccino, or macchiato. On top of that, you can even make steamed milk or milk froth only at the press of a button.
Since the Miele 6350 is a superautomatic, all you have to do is load your beans, fill the water tank, then press the button for whatever coffee you want. On the 6350, you can even make drinks with a double espresso shot for added strength. The Oracle Touch also offers this feature, however, the preset drinks leave much to be desired.
While you can program up to 8 different drinks of your own with the Oracle Touch, it only comes with 5 presets out of the box. Now, if you don’t need too much variety in your drinks, it isn’t important. However, if you’re in a household where everyone wants their coffee in different ways, then the presets of the Oracle Touch can be restrictive, to say the least, especially if you don’t want to go through the process of programming your own personal drinks.
When it comes to the quality of the coffee drinks, however, this is more up to your personal taste. Some customers claim the Miele makes better coffee, while others point to the Oracle Touch as the better option.
3. Design
The Winner: Breville Oracle Touch

One of the premier features of the Oracle Touch is its construction and design. It features a metal case, which offers structure, aesthetic, and durability all the same time. On top of that, it’s reminiscent of the classic manual espresso machines that you see in coffee shops. The difference, however, is the touch screen. Yes, you read that right, the Oracle Touch is a metal coffee maker with a touchscreen.
The touchscreen on the Oracle Touch allows you to choose, program, and edit drinks to your liking. It’s very intuitive and easy to use, so you don’t have to struggle to program your drinks. The machine even has a hot water spout installed so you can water down your espresso to make an Americano. The automatic steam wand on the side is placed at just the right place, and makes for a very efficient brewing process. While it takes a bit more work to make coffee with the Oracle Touch compared to the 6350, it’s all worth it considering all the control you have over the flavor.
The design of the CM6350 is less than ideal. It has a mainly plastic build, which makes the machine seem flimsy. With that said, the black design with silver accents makes for a very futuristic aesthetic. While it’s made out of plastic, there’s no denying the sleek look of the 6350, which can easily match many contemporary kitchen set ups out there.
This machine also has a touchscreen, which makes it easy for you to choose the drink you want. And with two spouts, you can brew two cups of coffee at the same time. This means you won’t have to wait too long for your cup of joe, even when brewing a lot of coffee.
4. Milk System
The Winner: Breville Oracle Touch

Both of these machines have relatively simple milk systems. Both systems don’t require as much work and skill as manual steam wands, but they can still provide a precise level of froth to your milk. So, if you want to make latte art, or you just want a well-made cappuccino in the morning, either of these machines have the milk system to handle it.
With that said, the Breville Oracle Touch offers more control over the milk than the Miele 6350. On the 6350, everything is automatic, so you get a consistent and decent milk froth with your drinks. And while the Oracle Touch also has automatic features, you can program the system to give you just the right froth density for whatever drink you’re making.
Breville Oracle Touch vs Miele 6350: Key Characteristics
When it comes down to it, both of these coffee machines offer a wide range of benefits that make them ideal for any kitchen. If you want a convenient way to make top-quality espresso and other drinks in the morning, the 6350 is a great pick. But if you want full control over the strength and flavor of your drinks, the Oracle Touch is the superior option.
And if you’re still on the fence with these two options, a lot of the time, it can all boil down to their key characteristics. Each of these machines has a character of its own, which is what allows them to stand out amongst the crowd. On top of that, these characteristics can be the difference-maker when it comes to choosing the right machine for your kitchen.
1. Breville Oracle Touch – A Seamless Combination of Control and Automation
The Breville Oracle Touch blurs the line between a semi-automatic machine and a superautomatic. While the machine offers you one-touch coffee drinks that will wow your taste buds and fill the room with a pleasant aroma, you can still tweak a bunch of individual parameters to your liking. On top of adjusting the presets, the Breville Oracle Touch allows you to build your own customized coffee profiles and name them!
So, if you have a preferred way of brewing your espresso, ristretto, or any drink, you can tweak the settings, save them, and all you have to do to make the drinks from that point is press the button. This machine grinds and tamps the coffee beans for you, making for a very easy way to brew a cup of coffee in the morning without having to sacrifice control.
The classic metal frame and design is a stark contrast to the modern touchscreen on the Oracle Touch, which is a testament of how it can seamlessly combine two different inspirations. From the design all the way down to the functionality, the Oracle Touch is a testament to Breville’s innovation.
2. Miele 6350: For Coffee-Lovers on the Go
The Miele CM6350 is a coffee machine for the future. It’s lightweight, highly functional, has a sleek design, and is equipped with a touchscreen where you can choose your drinks. The machine does all the work for you, and with seven different presets for the drinks, it’s easy to find just the right recipe for your tastes. On top of that, you can tweak specific parameters in the presets such as grind and the brewing time.
The Miele CM6350 brings one-touch coffee to a whole new level. If you can’t function in the morning without your cup of coffee, the 6350 is a great option. With this machine, all you have to do is press one button to get cafe-quality coffee in your own kitchen. Since it’s a superautomatic, you don’t have to spend time watching the machine and making sure you’re getting a good cup of joe. Instead, you can press a button, start getting ready for your day, and have your coffee ready right before you leave!
Quick Rundown Of Breville Oracle Touch BES990
- Note: 1)Too coarse a grind, too little coffee, or insufficiently tamping the grounds before brewing can all lead to inadequate pressure for a proper brew. 2)It is important to note that the amount of espresso extracted will vary depending on the grind size and amount and reprogramming may be needed when the size and amount are adjusted
- The Breville Oracle Touch Espresso Machine with automation at every stage with touch screen operation to simply swipe and select for espresso, long black, latte, flat white or cappuccino and enjoy third wave specialty coffee at home.
- Dose Control: The integrated conical burr grinder automatically grinds, doses and tamps 18-22 grams of coffee, similar to the commercial espresso machine in your favorite cafe.
- Espresso Machine with precise water temperature: Achieve balanced tasting espresso with the Breville Oracle Touch Espresso Machine complete with a digital temperature control (PID) technology, which ensures the temperature is kept at its optimum range
- Optimal Water Pressure: The Over Pressure Valve (OPV) is a commercial feature included in the Oracle Touch. This limits the maximum pressure throughout the extraction, helping prevent bitter flavors in the coffee shot. It also has true low pressure pre-infusion, which gradually increases the pressure to gently expand the grinds for an even extraction.

I write about everything coffee-related under the sun. Where to buy the freshest coffee beans from? How to test coffee beans based on texture, aroma, and acidity?
I know all this from scratch – all thanks to my years and years of experience as a barista. So I’ve gotten real up-close-and-personal with coffee beans and different brewing techniques.
